Rabbit + Oedema/Edema? So i don%26#039;t know which way to spell it but i think my aunties rabbit has and Oedema/Edema. She can%26#039;t afford to take it to the vets, so please DON%26#039;T say take it to the Vet, I know it should go but she can%26#039;t afford it!! However my question is, is there anyway to get rid of it without medical treatment?

It depends if it is edema in the chest or the abdomen, or if it is a limb. Whichever it may be, no, there is no way to treat the rabbit without taking it to the vet. The most humane thing would be to euthanize the rabbit, and not have him/her suffer any longer. Unfortunately, that too costs money.

  • Try contacting the PDSA, they may be able to help. You cannot let this rabbit suffer. If you cannot get any other help, ring the vet and tell them the situation and they will advise.
